Welcome
Welcome to our Trust
The Oak Partnership Trust is a family of schools that cater for children and young people from 2 – 19 years old.
Established on 1st January 2019 with a clear purpose of being an inclusive community of schools which inspires a passion for knowledge and the courage and confidence to fly.
Our Trust consists of seven settings:
We have two Nursery provisions – Woodland’s Nursery on the Ruishton site and Little Heron’s Nursery on the West Monkton site. Gemma Maxwell, our Strategic Lead for early Years, has a clear vision for what our pre-school offer needs to be so that our children have the very best start to their educational career. There is also a sharp focus on the early knowledge and skills required to enable those children to best transition into school in Reception.
We have Special School provision across two sites – Oakhill Campus provides specialist provision for primary aged learners and Hazelbrook Campus provides specialist provision for secondary aged learners and into Sixth Form. Mark Ruffett, Executive Headteacher, Andy Holden, Oakhill Head of School, and Stuart Lambert, Hazelbrook Head of School, have a clear vision for how they meet the needs of learners with a range of learning difficulties. Over the time we have been a Trust, we have grown to understand what our Special School settings can learn from our Mainstream School settings and what expertise our Special Schools can offer, to ensure that our entire Trust is truly inclusive.
We have three Primary schools – Blackbrook Primary School is a Community Primary, with West Monkton and Ruishton both Church of England schools. Just as our Special School leaders work closely together, so do our Primary Heads – James Blackmore, West Monkton; Barney Rycroft, Blackbrook; and Helen Newstead, Ruishton; work closely together to identify areas in which they can collaborate.
Whilst all parts of society, including education, have been through a really tough time, we have found at The Oak Partnership Trust that we have grown together and learnt to strengthen our collaboration so that we are better able to match our purpose, achieve our mission and move towards our vision.
We have a highly motivated and skilled team of teachers and support staff who are determined to provide the best possible learning opportunities for all our children and young people regardless of barriers.
We believe that we can never stop learning and we can never stop improving. As a Trust we recognise that we are all responsible for all the children and young people across our Trust, not just with our individual builds; that by working together and learning together we can take the best from each piece and make it into a stronger whole.
This website and the links to our school websites will give you a flavour of the work we do.
Yours sincerely
Ian Robinson
